Huddle is a coaching tool that helps youth soccer coaches build practice plans and stay in touch with the other coaches on their team. This policy explains what Huddle collects, why, who else handles it, and how to have it deleted.
Huddle accounts belong to coaches, who are adults. Coaches do not sign themselves up — a league administrator creates the account. Huddle is not directed to children and is not intended for anyone under 18.
Account information. Your name, your email address, and the team or teams you coach. Your email address is also your sign-in identity.
Messages you send. Huddle includes a team chat for a team’s coaches. The text of those messages, who sent them, and when, are stored so the conversation is still there next time you open the app. If you send a GIF, what gets stored is a link to that GIF, not a copy of it.
Practice and coaching data. The practice plans Huddle generates for you, the focus you choose for a session, your ratings of individual drills, and your team’s schedule of practices and games.
Feedback you send. Huddle has a built-in feedback form. If you use it, the message you write is stored along with your account and team, so that a reply can reach you.
Push notification tokens. If you allow notifications, Huddle stores a token that identifies your device so it can send practice reminders and chat alerts. It identifies a device, not a person.
Huddle does not hold information about individual children. It is a planning tool for coaches, not a roster system. It does not store player names, birthdates, contact details, or evaluations of individual players. Roster and game day features exist in the app’s code but are switched off and hold no data. If that ever changes, this policy will be updated before it does, not after.
Diagnostics stay on your device. Huddle keeps a local log of app activity to help troubleshoot problems. It is written to your phone’s own storage and is never uploaded, transmitted, or seen by anyone else.
Huddle does not sell your data, does not use it for advertising, and does not use it to build a profile of you.
Huddle relies on a small number of service providers. They process data on Huddle’s behalf and are not permitted to use it for their own purposes.
Supabase hosts the database and handles sign-in. Account, message, schedule, and practice data lives there, encrypted in transit and at rest.
Anthropic generates the practice plans. When you request a plan, Huddle sends the age group, the skills you want to work on, drill names from Huddle’s own library, your past ratings of those drills, and any notes you typed into the request. It does not send your name, your email, your team’s name, or any player’s name. Because notes are free text, please don’t type anything into them you would not want processed by an AI provider.
Expo, Apple, and Google deliver push notifications. Delivery routes through Expo’s push service and then through Apple on iPhone or Google Firebase Cloud Messaging on Android. A notification’s title and body pass through those services in order to reach your phone.
Giphy powers GIF search in chat. When you open the GIF picker or view a GIF someone sent, your device requests it from Giphy, so Giphy can see your IP address. Huddle does not send Giphy your name, your email, or your message text.
Data is stored on Supabase using industry-standard encryption, with access limited to what each coach’s account is permitted to see. No system is ever completely secure — if you have a concern, email joe@huddleyouthsports.com and you’ll get a direct answer.
You can have your account and everything attached to it deleted at any time. Email joe@huddleyouthsports.com from the address your account uses, and deletion will be completed within 30 days. That covers your account record, your chat messages, your practice plans and drill ratings, any feedback you sent, and your notification tokens.
This policy will be updated as Huddle changes. Material changes will be communicated by email.
